A Prayer for the Beginning of the Day.
‘The angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a flame of fire out of a bush….and Moses said “I must turn aside and look at this great sight”.’ Exodus 3. 2-3.
Lord, help me to take time to be still, amid the rush of this day, to look at a flower, listen to the birds or touch the earth. Then, in quietness and confidence, lead me to worship You, the Creator of all. AMEN.
A Prayer for the Middle of the Day
Lord of all busyness, calm our minds and clear our thoughts. Help us to rest in You and to relax in Your care.
In the turmoil of the day be our Peace, our Protector and our Provider, so that we may accomplish all we need to do.
‘In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength’
A Prayer for the End of the Day
Thank you, Lord, for being with us during the good times and the bad times today. You have walked with us when all was going well and carried us when we were struggling. May we now turn over our worries to You.
Give us Your peace as we go to our beds. May we rest in the joy of Your presence and Your forgiveness, and rise strengthened in the morning to meet the new day.
